Pennsylvania Philharmonic Holiday Brass
Pennsylvania Philharmonic Holiday Brass
Sunday, December 9 | 2:00PM | Lawrence Hall - Rosemont College | 1400 Montgomery Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010
Celebrate the holidays with the best music of the season, while supporting two incredible organizations: Laurel House and the Pennsylvania Philharmonic. Members from the Philharmonic’s amazing brass section will feature seasonal standards, Jazz transcriptions, classical selections from the Nutcracker, and music from beloved holiday movies (Home Alone, White Christmas, Meet Me in St. Louis, and more!). This unforgettable, fun-filled program is guaranteed to hit all the right Yuletide notes.
Meet Our Musicians
Laurel House first opened its doors in 1980 for the purpose of providing hotline and emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence. Now, more than three decades later, Laurel House has grown into a comprehensive domestic violence agency, providing supportive and preventative services throughout Montgomery County.
The Pennsylvania Philharmonic has a twofold mission: introduce young minds to quality classical music and bring an enriching musical experience to communities around the state. School programs account for more than 60% of the Philharmonic’s performances in a given season, and they reach thousands of students every year. By providing children with an introduction to a professional Symphony Orchestra, they hope to spark an interest in music, encourage students to learn an instrument, and inspire them to be participants in the arts throughout their lifetimes.
Holiday Brass is the first collaboration between Laurel House and the Pennsylvania Philharmonic. We hope you will join us in supporting two great organizations this holiday season.
